Due to the sheer size of Cornwall, if you are travelling from afar and require accommodation then we’d recommend that anglers consider camping as opposed to booking themselves in to more expensive B&B’s or hotels. While we encourage anglers to take a very relaxed attitude to the event, we also want those attending to do so without having to spend all of their kids’ pocket money.

Having said that, being a popular holiday destination you will find numerous types of accommodation to suit all budgets and preferences.

The main Art of Fishing store is in Wadebridge, half way down the north Cornish coast.

Species hunting anglers will find the south coast their most prolific and easiest to access. On the Saturday evening we will be hosting a bit of a jolly olde get-together in Fowey, so this area is a great place to base yourself.

To make things as social as can be, I’d recommend checking in at somewhere like the Carlyon Bay Touring Park (www.carlyonbay.net). The have spaces for caravans and tents alike and should be able to accommodate you. Barbeques are allowed on the site, so if you’re sensible it will make a perfect base to mingle with fellow entrants – assuming they’re not all out trying to kick your ass in the competition!

Bass anglers usually try and escape from eachother, and you could base yourself literally anywhere in the county to target these.
